Video Time

here Cohen is singing along with his favorite song. Barbara Ann. Unfortunately this was the best I could catch on camera. He seemed to stop everytime I started taping. Little stinker.
this was the first time Daddy realized he could make loud noises and get Cohen to laugh. They could entertain each other this way for hours.
Cohen loves to chat with me whenever he is on the changing table. That is for sure his "happy place."
hard to imagine Cohen had a high temp during this video, but nothing will stand in his way of laughing at Daddy.

7 months and growing!

Today is Cohen's 7 month birthday. I can't believe how much he has grown and learned in his short time here with us! We belive he is finally teething. I am sure he will have one before his next monthly birthday. He has been so much fun to be around lately. Such a ball of happiness and personality. The other night the whole family spent 45 minutes just laughing at Cohen laughing. Daddy seems to have a special talent of making random noises that makes Cohen fall into a fit of belly shaking laughter. Currently we are working on him learning to clap. He is so close. He does know how to flap his arms as if he is trying to fly away and every now and then his hands will come together, but nothing further than that. He is also a babbling fool. He loves to make the baba and dada sound. We are sure his first word will be dada. We are all so excited to see what milestone will come next. Maybe crawling...

Sick Baby :(

Thrusday we got a call from the daycare that Cohen had a fever of 103 and needed to be picked up. Thankfully Clayton was home and was able to take care of him. Poor little man was so miserable and the fever did not seem to be affected by the Tylenol we were giving him. Needless to say it was a rough night for everyone. Friday I was able to go to work for a few hours and take the rest of the day off. Because I will be out of town next week I thought it best that I get him into the Dr. just in case it was something they could give him meds for. Unfortunately for us it was just a virus that we would have to wait out. Good news was there were no ear infections like I had originally thought. While there we also decided to try Prevacid for his reflux to see if that would help with his constant coughing. Friday night he was still not doing great, but when he woke Saturday morning the fever was gone!

Brody the "Stud"

Before we left for our family photo shoot and Cohen's 6 month pictures I thought I would snap a few of Brody. This was the first time it really hit me that Brody is not a little boy anymore. As we approach his 9th birthday next month I find myself trying to figure out how the time went by so fast.

Taking a break to be naked...

Due to a bad case of diaper rash Cohen needed to "air out" a bit last night. After he decided to pee on everything I figured we were safe to play around and take some pictures.

Cohen and Aliyah

Clayton's best friend Delmer and his wife Jenny had their first baby girl a few months before Cohen. We had alsways joked that one day we would arrange for the 2 to be married. I mean what better than having great friends become family. This past Sunday we were at their house for a superbowl get together and when it was time for Aliyah to head to be I thought what better time than now to share their first kiss. I hope to one day show this photo to the both of them and laugh at the times we shared before they could even remember each other.
I can say for a fact that Aliyah is a strong willed girl. She will let nothing stand in her way. On Saturday while at Delmer's Mom's house for a dinner get together Cohen was minding his own business on the floor when Aliyah thought it a good idea to quickly crawl over toward him and just push him over. Although he cried for a minute the sight of it all was priceless. I am sure she is only trying to establish who the boss is in their relationship.

Finally He Eats

As some of you know we have attempted solids with Cohen a few times. Not until he was actually 6 months old did we really try to get it to stick. We started with green veggies and then moved onto the orange ones. He was starting to do really good and that made me cautious to try fruits. I mean who in the right mind would want east smashed peas after having eaten yummy peaches. Well Cohen would that's who! We are now up to one full stage 2 for breakfast, 1 stage 2 around 2:30 and then tonight he ate almost a full stage 2 around dinner time. From the looks of it most can tell he doesn't skip any meals. We are so excited to keep moving forward and to try all the great foods they have out there.

Our New Stroller

As you can tell by the title of this post we have not had a whole lot going on recently. Life seems to have gotten the best of us and not allowed time for picture taking. We did get to open our new stroller the other day and put Cohen in for a test drive around the house. Now if we could magically make the snow melt and the tempature change to 70 we would all be much happier. Enjoy the site of Cohen chilling in his new big boy stroller.
