I have started to change Cohen on the floor more often than the changing table. He likes to roll around and kick and we were getting so close to injuries I thought it would be best. The other night after I was done dressing him he was squealing and playing around. Not sure what he was doing, but it made me laugh.

Look Mom No Hands
Bathtime with Cohen these days always turns into a ton of fun. I will wash him and then sit back and watch him play. He could possible stay in their for hours if allowed. His most recent discovery in the washcloth and the face that it holds water. He loves to put it in his mouth and suck the water out. I remember doing this same thing when younger. Not sure what the facination is, but it makes for great pics and tons of laughs.
My New Car Seat
I finally made the transition over to the new convertable carseat. Although he hadn't reached the weight limit in the infant carrier you could tell that Cohen was starting to dislike it. Basically anytime he was in it he was screaming! He was not the most excited about the new seat either, but as soon as I am done strapping him in he gets to hold his monkey. After a few days of this he started to catch one and would sit patiently waiting for his monkey.

Cruelty? Maybe...
The girls that work at Cohen's daycare are always thinking up new things to do. Most recent was the spare outfit they found that just had to be modeled. I of course will do just about anything to make someone laugh so I obliged. One of the other Mom's at the daycare was kind enough to iron on wording. This saying is something that has been the "theme" of the infant care room for sometime now.
The best part about the whole thing were the looks and comments we got. One of the other employees at the daycare stopped Erica and Cohen in the hall and asked, "why is he wearing that." She then turned to see my cracking up hysterically only to realize quickly that Cohen was my baby. She soon apologized until we explained that it was only a joke.
9 Months
Better late than never right! At Cohen's 9 month appt. he checked out great. No shots!!! Dr. said he was right on with development. Here are his stats:
25.5 lbs (96th percentile)
29 1/2 in (75th)
18.75 in head (95th)
He is growing very consistently. Even if it is consistently large!
New this month is his ability to drink from a sippy cup. Whenever I would give him the cup I would tilt my head back really far in order for him to copy me. As you can see below he has it figured out. He still thinks it is more fun than a source of drinking, but I am sure that will change in time.
No crawling yet, but he sure knows how to get around. For those that haven't seen it I will try to get a video up soon. He will sit up and bounce across the floor. In the last few days he has stared to do more of a scoot to get where he wants to go.
Recently he has also figured out how to mimick things we do. He loves to make the same sound you make to him. Especially if you are making sound to get his attention away from whatever he is doing. He will stop, but then turns around and makes the sound right back. Cracks me up everytime.
My favorite new sound is when he eats. As soon as he puts the food in his mouth he makes the mmmmmm sounds (as in yummy). Thanks to the daycare girls for that one!
