School / Sports Pictures 2009

Is this not the BEST class picture ever!!!!!

He loves the computer

Just like when Brody was his age Cohen loves to type at the computer. He sat there forever the other day just typing away. He thought it was really great when I put the wireless keyboard on the floor for him to play with!

Frederick Meijer Gardens Sept 09

We met the Schnurstein's over at Frederick Meijer Gardens on a beautiful day in September. The kids had a ton of fun and the parents even got to relax a little.

A boy and his chair

All it takes to entertain the kids is an $8.00 chair these days. We must have played with it for 2 hours and never stopped laughing. Needless to say though it was promptly put in the garage after this fun little session. I am sure you can see why by the pictures and video below!

He is trying to give Bubba a kiss

This is what happens when you take the chair away from the boy

The day is finally here!!!!

He can WALK!!!! Yesterday I went to pick him up from daycare and he just took off across the room to me. I stood there in shock. I think he has been doing it for a few days, but the daycare doesn't like to be the first to say anything. I am a little sad that I may not have been there to see it for the first time, but even when you are a stay at home Mom you can't always be there for everything. After we left the daycare we went to my parent's house where he showed off for everyone. He is not yet walking 100% of the time, but at least we know he can do it.

To be honest I didn't think this day would ever come. Now we have to start working on letting him "walk" more and less of us carrying him everywhere we go. Old habits can be hard to break. Especially when you are in a hurry, but now is when I have to work on slowing down in life and enjoying the moment with my kids. Even if does mean a 10 minute trip from the car to the house.

Best part is it won't be long before he starts to slim down a bit and my back starts to feel better. :)

P.S. sorry it has been so long, but work, sports , etc have kept me away from blogging. I am still taking pictures and will be sure to catch everyone up soon.
