The next big thing?

Brody is now 2 games into his first tackle football season and is enjoying himself more than ever. His team won both of the games they have played and Brody was a huge help in them doing so.
Please enjoy some pictures that Grandpa Dave was nice enough to take. He did promise to get out on the field to get some close ups the next game he is at.
P.S. Brody is #10

Cohen...what does Thomas the train say?

Who wouldn't love a face like this?

I love that Cohen is at an age where you can teach him cute things to do. Unfortunately for me he tends to get shy if someone is around. I have been lucky enough to catch a few things on video. As most young boys are Cohen is obsessed with Thomas the Train. Whenever the show comes on he will stop whatever he is doing and give his full attention to the wonderful story Thomas will share that day.

1st day of 4th grade

Although I felt like today was a big day Brody thought nothing more than it was the 1st day of school which in his words meant, "no work and all fun today."
Here he is relaxing on the couch before leaving for the bus.
He did allow me to stop him and take 1 picture
I attempted to walk with him to the bus stop and take pictures at the same time
This is when he informed be that now that he is in 4th grade he is too old to have his Mom at the bus stop with him
I am very much looking forward to the progress Brody will make this year. He has really matured over the summer and I can tell he is ready to jump back in and learn learn learn!

Shoes are everywhere you look

Cohen could spend an hour around a pile of shoes and be perfectly content. He loves to take our big shoes and try his hardest to put them on his feet. The other day after playing with his own shoes he got ahold of my camera case which apparently he thought was a shoe so he attempted to put it on! So cute.

Dance Party with Bubba

We of course couldn't keep up with this too long for fear that Cohen may permanently have damange to his eyes!!! It sure was interesting to see his view of Bubba's flashy toy.

As you can see it isn't that he is unable to walk...just unable to walk without fear!

No longer a baby...

This past Saturday my girlfriend offered to watch the boys so Clayton and I could attend a friend's wedding. They were dropped off just after 1:00 with the plan for me to pick them up the next morning at 8:00. I of course arrived promptly at 8:00 to find Cohen scadoodling around Erin's living room. He was excited to see me and scooted right over.

Erin and I chatted a bit about how the night went and other normal girl things. She then told me that Cohen's pacifier had found a home atop the tv armoire in the living room. Before I could grab it she explained to me that he had gone done for a nap the day before without it at which point it was put up and pretty much forgotten about. Keep in mind Erin is not used to tracking down a pacifier at all times as none of her kids currently use them. Well come bed time Erin did remember, but went ahead and put him down without it. Magically he slept as normal with no peep regarding the pacifier.

I saw this as my opportunity to roll with it and see if it would stick. So I am proud to say that Cohen has not had a pacifier since early afternoon on Saturday 8/28. There have been a few moments here and there where you can tell he would be less whiny if he had it, but nothing this Momma can't handle.

Thanks again Erin for giving Cohen and I the kick start we needed to get that pacifier out of our lives. I am thinking maybe you should start a business with skills like that!
